Medline Recalls Bed Rails Over Entrapment Hazard, Two Deaths Reported
- StewartWood Injury Lawyers
1.5 million adult bed rails made by Medline Industries are being recalled due to suffocation risks. Two deaths have already been reported. The rails can trap users between the rail itself or the space between the rail and the mattress. The recall includes two models, MDS6800BA (sold individually) and MDS6800BAH (sold in packs of three). The model number can be found on a label near the vertical part of the bed rail support frame. The bed rails were sold between July 2009 and March 2024 for $32 to $64 and were available on Medline's website, major online retailers, online pharmacies, and medical supply stores. People who bought one of these recalled bed rails are encouraged to stop using them immediately and contact Medline for a refund.
